Now Punjab Government is likely to tighten its noose on Hawkers, Dhabas, Eaterires, Hotels, Restaurents, Canteens, Clubs to ensure compliance of guidelines issued by FSSAI, the Food Safety Standards and Regulatory Authority of India under FSS Act 2006. Now Food Licensing and Registration work throughout India has been entrusted to Common Service Centers like the one working at Samadhan Kender, Near Bikaner Mishtan Bhandar, Patiala Road, NH64, Rajpura 140401 Punjab.

1. Hawkers

Now Hawkers, Rehriwalas selling food items like Samosa, Tikki, Golgappa, Papri, Dahi Bhalla, Noodles, Pav Bhaji, Dosa Masala and other items need to register with FSSAI and registration is open at Samadhan Kender with immediate effect on First Come First Serve basis.

2. Tea Shops

Similarly Tea and Coffe shops who are selling beverages like cold drinks, fresh or canned juices along with snacks also need to get registered with FSSAI for which they may visit Samadhan Kender. 

3. Restaurants

Restaurants operating without FSSAI registration will be facing tough time in the near future as heavy penalties  are likely to be imposed by law enforcing agencies in all states.
